The presence of any chloride contamination at concentrations that can cause corrosion has a profound effect on the prospect of successful repair. The absence of a significant level of Chloride contamination can be confirmed by a sufficient number of samples that are taken from carefully chosen locations. Half Cell Potential mapping mentioned earlier is an important tool in deciding these vulnerable spots.

We offer testing of Chlorides in sand and water used for concrete in order to take the necessary steps to avoid contamination of concrete and subsequent corrosion. We also test Chlorides in hardened concrete so that we can decide on the best repair stretegy. Determination of chloride profile in hardened concrete can help us to identify the source of chlorides and accordingly work out a stretegy for Durability of concrete.
